Siemens Energy: Alternative Fuels for Gas Turbines

As part of the Alternative Fuels for Gas Turbines project Siemens Energy developed the Alternative Fuels Decarbonisation Calculator to help the energy industry achieve their decarbonisation targets. This calculator simulates the carbon dioxide reduction and cost-savings potential by combining alternative fuels for industrial and heavy-duty gas turbines.

The algorithms are brilliant but the calculator was orgianly developed in Microsoft Excel and not very exciting to play with. We were asked to create a more engaging and visually interesting version using the same core mathematical modelling so it could feature on the Net Zero Technology Centre website.
